Responsible apparel starts with practical decisions: the material selected, the way a garment is made, the conditions people work in and the evidence behind each claim.
Our approach connects fabric development, self-owned factories and supplier coordination. We prioritise product suitability, resource efficiency and project-level documentation, with improvements reviewed against the needs of each programme.
Select materials for function, durability and verified composition. Review recycled or organic content, relevant test reports and certification scope for the chosen quality.
Connect approved materials, cutting, production and inspection. Prioritise resource efficiency and avoidable rework, with records reviewed at the relevant factory or process level.
Support safe working conditions, employee development and clear supplier responsibilities. Review available social-compliance documents by site, scope and validity during project onboarding.
People & working conditions
Our priorities include workplace safety, fair employment practices, employee development and channels for worker feedback.
Supplier coordination
Product requirements, production responsibilities and review points are clarified with the factories and suppliers involved in each programme.
Evidence at the right level
Factory audit reports and social or environmental management documents are reviewed by site, scope and validity. Available records can be discussed during supplier onboarding.
Material decisions balance function, durability, composition and sourcing evidence. Recycled-content and organic-fibre options are assessed against the product brief, available supply and required documentation.
Where a programme uses a certified or verified material, we confirm the applicable standard, supplier or product scope, document validity and transaction evidence where required. OCS, RCS and Better Cotton represent different approaches; their relevance is checked for the selected supply route.
Certification and sourcing programmes are not interchangeable, and do not apply automatically to every fabric or garment. Share your requirements so we can review suitable qualities and supporting records.
Our production priorities are practical: improve material utilisation, reduce avoidable rework, review energy and water use, and coordinate packaging and shipment with the programme requirements.
Progress needs a defined boundary and consistent records. Environmental data, baselines and reduction targets should identify the factory or process, reporting period and measurement method. Programme-specific information is reviewed with the relevant production partners before it is shared.
Designing for longer use, selecting suitable materials and improving traceability are important directions for the textile sector. The European Commission’s circular textiles strategy provides a useful industry reference for durability, resource use and transparency.
For sourcing reviews, ask our team about the available site records, material documentation and next steps for your project.
